Wanda Faye (Shelton) Boles

Wanda Faye (Shelton) Boles, 88 of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Heritage Oaks Nazarene Church with Rev. Eddie Stark of Yukon, Oklahoma assisted by Eric Nahass, Pastor of Heritage Oaks, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Wanda was born on Thursday, July 27, 1933 to Ruben and Dora Shelton in Elk City, Oklahoma, in her grandmother Moore's home. She was a member of the Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene, Wanda Shelton married Bill Boles on January 13, 1952 in Elk City, Oklahoma, to this union were born two daughters; Tawana and Sonja, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Suvivors include her husband of 69 years; Bill of the home, daughters; Tawana Dodd and her husband Roger of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Sonja Moore of Duncan, Oklahoma, her twin sister; Verna M. Shelton of Duncan, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Lori Edwards and her husband Dr. Nathaniel Edwards of Duncan, Oklahoma, Jared Bishop and his wife Janice of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jamin Bishop and his wife Kaylee of Bethany, Oklahoma, Brian Dodd and his wife Suzanne of Duncan, Oklahoma, Holly Morrisett and her husband Brad of Edmond, Oklahoma, great-grandchildren; Kathryn Taylor and Lily Taylor of Duncan, Oklahoma, Adaline Dawn Bishop, 15 days old, daughter of Jamin and Kaylee, and Landen and Hayden of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Jarred Bishop, Jamien Bishop, Roger Dodd, Nate Edwards, Brian Dodd, Johnny Cathey.
