Victor E. Barrett, 89 of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 9, 2022 at City Heights Church with Rev. Roy Don Green officiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Victor was born Sunday, March 12, 1933 in Martinsberg, West Virginia to Stewart and Pauline (Brandenberg) Barrett, he was the owner and operator of Empire Salvage in the Empire community. He was married to Wanda R. Morrow on March 21, 1960, and to this marriage were born sons; John, Glen, James, Jason and half brother Victor Jr. and a daughter Cindy, Wanda preceded her husband in June 7, 2005.

Survivors include his children; John Barrett of Del Ray Florida, Glen Barrett of Empire, Oklahoma, James Barrett of Empire, Oklahoma, Jason Barrett of Empire, Oklahoma and Victor E. Barrett Jr. of Martinsberg, West Virginia, a daughter; Cindy Driscol of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a sister; Edna Panagiotakis of Boston Massachusetts and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Wanda, his parents; Stewart and Pauline Barrett and a brother; Charles Barrett and 2 sisters; Norma & Phyllis.

Pallbearers will be Roy Don Green, Terry Griggs, Jason Barrett, Keith Sears, Mario Izaguirre, and Bradley Barrett.
