Troy Allen Gildon

Troy Allen Gildon passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 88 with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Southerland, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Troy was born May 17, 1932 to Tilman & Cora Alice (Clark) Gildon in Cache, Oklahoma. He was a longtime resident of the Duncan area and a longtime farmer, and was a veteran of the United States Army, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Troy married Myrna Berryhill in 1957, to this union two children were born, Mark Gildon and Linda Gildon, Myrna passed away in 1972.

Troy married June Knott August 16, 1973 , and June preceded him in death December 24, 2001, and Troy later married Imogene Dumas.

Troy is survived by his wife; Imogene of the home, a son; Mark Gildon of Marlow, Oklahoma, a daughter; Linda Estes, Stepdaughters; Beverly Caudill of Duncan, Oklahoma, Sherryl Shelton of Kennesaw, Ga., Susan Cerney of Keller, Texas, Jean Ann Martin of Ft. Worth, Texas, a stepson; Danny Dumas of Velma, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren; Bradford Gildon, Mathew Estes, Nick Estes, Shannon Dodd, Shane Miears, Blake Shelton, Tiffany Griggs, Ashley McMahon, Lindsey Deitchley, Brittany Porkorny, Chad Dumas, Danielle Dumas, Clay Dumas, Jennifer Riley, Devin Searles, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Troy was preceded in death by his parents; Tilman & Cora Alice Gildon, brothers; Deverl Gildon and Roy Gildon, sisters; Rachel Askins and Jo McGlothin.

Pallbearers will be Robert Giddens, Mark Wright, Bill Whitley, Kenneth Gildon, Mark Lewis and Gary Jones
