Tonie Phillip Wade Jr.

Born April 20, 1954, Tonie Phillip Wade Jr. "Okie" was called home to heaven on January 10, 2022. He passed peacefully at his home in Comanche, Oklahoma surrounded by his Dad, his sisters and his dog, Annie.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bennie Hammon oficiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

The family visitation will be Wednesday evening, January 12, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Okie enjoyed woodworking, playing his guitar, fishing, and he always chose to take the back roads instead of the interstate no matter how long it took to reach his destination. He was a Duncan High School graduate of 1973, he attended Okmulgee Technical School, but then became a contract pumper for various companys. In his spare time he helped friends and family to do small remodeling projects for their homes.

Tonie is survived by his father; Tonie Wade Sr. of Duncan, Oklahoma, his sisters; Janice Branum and her husband Donald of Duncan, Oklahoma, Margie Wade of Comanche, Oklahoma and Gayla Bynum and her husband Bobby of Newcastle, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Gladys Wade and a sister; Sandra Anthony.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Branum, Tate Sullivent, Steffan Bynum and Todd Anthony. Honorary pallbearer will be Pacer Branum.
