Tommy Daryl Amos
Tommy D. Amos, 63, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Virginia Espinoza officiating, interment will Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.
Family visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
Tommy was born February 5, 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Able Thomas & Rosetta (Burris) Amos, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army from serving from October 1977 of February 1983. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Chickasaw & Choctaw Nation. Tommy married Amy Rice on December 14, 1991 in Durant, Oklahoma
He is survived by his wife; Amy (Rice) Amos of the home, son; Toby Amos of Duncan, Oklahoma, daughters; Logan Amos of Duncan, Oklahoma and Katrina Harris of Idabel, Oklahoma a brother; Anthony Amos & his wife Carmen of Ada, Oklahoma, 1 grandchild; Kiesha Amos, and a great-grandchild Bryson Amos. Tommy is also survived by a niece; Sara Factor & her husband Jimpsey of Ada, Oklahoma, nephews; Brad Jefferson, Terry Jefferson and Tim Jefferson all of Ada, Oklahoma, great-niece; Peyton “Beans” Factor, great-nephews; Elijah Factor, Elliott Factor, and Ethan Factor, great-great nephew; Calian Harjo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 daughters; Samantha Amos and Crystal Amos.
Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Amos, David Rice, Wayne Barker, Miguel Madrid, J.J., Fuzz, James Carson and Randy Savage.
Military Honors will be provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard.
