Ruth Ann Wyatt

Ruth Ann Wyatt 86, of Burleson, Texas, formally of Duncan, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 in Burleson, Texas.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean & Freda Hall officiating, interment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Ruth was born March 14, 1936 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Kenneth & Docia (Phillips) Mowery. She was a homemaker and a Registered Nurse, working at the P&S Hospital and Duncan Regional Hospital and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Duncan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruth married Richard Dewayne Wyatt August 24, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and to this union were born Nancy, Richard, Joseph, and Stephen.

Survivors include a daughter; Nancy Ruth Pugh & her husband John of Burleson, Texas, sons; Joseph Dean Wyatt & his wife Kelly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stephen Gregory Wyatt & his wife Laura of Coweta, Oklahoma, brothers; Kay Mowery & his wife Lynda of Cary, North Carolina, and Donald Mowery & his wife Pat of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren; Stephanie JoAnn Haass, Bradley Scott Pugh, Zane Joseph Wyatt, and Zoe Renee Wyatt, 3 great-grandchildren; William Lawrence Haass, Sydney Claire Haass & Townes Richard Pugh.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; Richard, a son; Richard Craig Wyatt, parents; Kenneth & Docia Mowery and a brother; Gene Mowery.

Pallbearers will be John Pugh, Dean Wyatt, Steve Wyatt, Bradley Pugh, Zane Wyatt and Brady Haass.
