Rev. Danny J. (Dan) Crumpton, 77 of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Duncan Regional Hospital.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at the West Beech Baptist Church, with Rev. James Dick officiating, interment will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at Crestview Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home

Dan was born on Saturday, November 10, 1945 in Jacksboro, Texas to Guy Lester & Bessie P. (Caddell) Crumpton, he retired from Cameron Technology in Electric Assembly, and was an Associate Pastor.

Dan married Linda Hamlin on October 15, 1967 in Wichita Falls, Linda preceded him in death on April 13, 2007 he later married Lela Jo July 4, 2008 in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Dan is survived by his wife; Lela Jo Crumpton of the home, stepson; Randy Barry & his wife Brenda of Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter; Angela Crumpton Madory of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a sister; Judy Powell of Ft. Valley, Georgia. 5 grandchildren; Madison Madory, Lonnie Guy Madory and Jentrie Madory, step-grandchildren; Chris Barry, Daren Barry, great-grandchildren; Aspin Barry, Jasmine Barry, Brailey Barry, Kreed Barry and Rowdy Barry.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; Guy Lester & Bessie A. Crumpton, son-in-law; Denny Madory.

Pallbearers will be family members.
