Priscilla Kaye Massey

Priscilla Kaye Massey, 79, was the daughter of Eltus E. and Effie Pollard) Massey, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022.

Kaye was born November 10, 1942 at the Weeden Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma. She attended Duincan Public Schools and was a graduate of Duncan High School in 1960. Kay attended Oklahoma State University from 1960-1964 receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree and her Masters Degree in 1969 in Higher Education. The schools Kaye attended were: Southerwestern Theological Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas ans Oklahoma College for Women, Cameron College, Oklahoma University and Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma.

Kay's occupation covered 37 years in Education. She was a teacher at Cushing, Oklahoma for 8 years from 1964-1972 and 29 years as a High School and Junior High School Counselor, 5 years at McGinnis High School in Oklahoma City from 1972-1977 and 24 years 1978-2002 2 with the Moore Public Schools.

Kaye has been a member of University Heights, First Baptist Church in Duncan, Stillwater, and Cushing. She was a member and served two terms as deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. She attended Tanglewood Bible Fellowship and was a member of the Eastern Star. 

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents; Eltus & Effie Massey.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Franks, Mike Zawicki, Bobby Franks, Rick Shondelmyer, David Demerson, Noah Franks, Dylan Zawicki and Hunter Madole.
