Michael Franklin 52 of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 at the New Beginnings Church with Rev. F. Ray Ledbetter officiating and interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, June 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Michael was born June 13, 1967 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Billy Eugene & Peggy (Wilson) Franklin, Michael had worked for Hines Equipment as a Diesel Mechanic and was now working for Allred Service, he was married to Laura Walker Franklin on January 31, 1986 in Wichita Falls, Texas, and to this union was born 2 sons; Cody & Micah Franklin, and he was a member of New Beginnings Church.

Michael is survived by his wife; Laura Franklin of Duncan, Oklahoma, his mother; Peggy Franklin of Duncan, Oklahoma , 2 sons; Cody Franklin of Duncan, Oklahoma and Micah Franklin & his wife Ashley of Duncan, Oklahoma, 2 sisters; Regina Carney & her husband Billy of Duncan, Oklahoma, Janetta Hall of Duncan, Oklahoma, and 2 grandchildren; Caleb Franklin, Makiah Franklin.

Pallbearers will be David Allred, Derek Allred, Carl Steinke, Jake Samuels, Dillon Allred and  Don Allen.

He is preceded in death by his father; Billy Eugene Franklin, a brother; Billy Gene Franklin.
