Johnny Glenn Rose, 61 years of age, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Oklahoma City on March 20, 2022.
Johnny was born on December 14, 1960 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lester & Louise (Durham) Rose. Johnny graduated from Empire High School in 1980. John joined the military in 1981 and was Honorably Discharged in 1993. He worked for the Federal Prison System until he retired in 2013. He was currently employed as a security officer for Hobby Lobby. Johnny married Michelle (Picard) August 23, 1986 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and to this union were born three children; Kevin, Chad and Heather.
Johnny is survived by his wife Michelle "Picard" Rose of the home. Two sons; Chad Michael and Kevin Gregory of Oklahoma City, a daughter; Heather Lynn of the home, three grandchildren; Karder, Octavia and Teegan, his mother: Louise Johnson of Duncan, a sister; Mattie Hunt and her husband Jerry also of Duncan, and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father; Lester Rose, sister; Joyce Rose, and step-dad; Jack Johnson, and a niece; Marcie and nephew; Jake.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Foster officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.
Family visitation will be Wednesday evening March 23, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
