Georgia Jean Jennings
Georgia Jean Jennings was born December 31, 1932 in Velma, Oklahoma to Richard Lewis Newman and Othel Naomi Newman. Jean went to her heavenly home on September 4, 2023.
Jean graduated from Empire High School. She married the love of her life, William Gene Jennings, on August 2, 1952. Since the couple shared the same middle name, friends often referred to them as “He Gene” and “She Gene”. The couple were members of Eastside Church of Christ. They settled in Duncan where Jean worked for Haggar Slacks many years. They had one child, Dale Wayne Jennings, born in 1954. Jean enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time at Lake Texhoma, playing cards and dominoes with her lifelong friends. She was loved by everyone she met, well-known as the life of the party, and had a great sense of humor.
