Billy Ray Dockall

Billy Ray Dockall, 89, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home with his family.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Duncan Cemetery, with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Billy was born on Tuesday, May 20, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to parents; Ed J. & Temple Elizabeth (Dutch) Davenport Dockall. He married Patsy Turner and had 3 children; Jimmy Dale, and 2 daughters; Julia Ann and Vickie Lynn. He was a lifelong resident of Duncan, Oklahoma. In his early years Billy Ray served in the Korean War and was called to combat in the artillery division, where he served  four years as an Army Sergeant. He returned home in 1952 an ruff-necked until he began working for Sun Oil Refinery from 1955 until the closure of the refinery. He was chief operator in the Coker Unit. He had a passion for wildlife and agriculture. He loved his family and country very much. He will be missed by many of his friends and his family.

Billy Ray is survived by his son; Jimmy Dockall & his wife Elizabeth of Duncan, Oklahoma, daughters; Julia Allen & her husband Chuck, of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Vickie Dockall of Duncan, Oklahoma, and grandchildren; Jeffrey Dockall of Louisville, Ky. Nicole Dockall-Giles and Travis Tucker of Duncan, Oklahoma, Sylvia Hinjosha, Dakota Dcokall of Duncan, Oklahoma, 4 great-grandchildren; Atlyn Giles, Treydenn Hinjosha, Jaynia and Alizia Dockall.

Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents; Ed & Temple Dockall, and brother; Lee Carl Dockall and step-brother; Johna Kan and former wife; Patsy Dockall.

Military Honors will be provided by Stephens County Honor Guard.
