Winston D. Landers

Winston D. Landers 82, of Comanche, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Meridian Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Southerland, interment will follow at Fairlawn cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Winston was born November 23, 1934 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Jessie & Era (Cliffie) Landers, he was a postal carrier for the U.S. Post Office until his retirement. Mr. Landers married Geneva L. Stroud on April 21, 1956 in Duncan, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death August 16, 2015.

Survivors include a son; Brian Landers & his wife Sherry of Saluda, Virginia and a daughter; Penny Huckriede & her husband Kim of Duncan, Oklahoma and a sister; Geneva Matthews of Colorado, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Tritt, Kyle Criss, Kim Huckriede, Jeramie Buckley and Kayden Goronga.
