Vancel M. Harvey 84, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at Country Club Care.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Faith Church with Rev. Mark Morrow officiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Vancel was born on Friday, September 18, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Robert McCoy & Desi (Winters) Harvey, Vancel was a firefighter for the Duncan Fire Department before his retirment his retirement. Vancel married Josephine Morrow on December 15, 1956 in Duncan, Oklahoma and to that union were born 4 childern; Clendon, Del, Tim and Pamela. Vancel was a member of Faith Church.

He is survived by his wife; Josephine of the home, sons; Clendon & Gaylynn Harvey of Duncan, Del & B.J. Harvey of Duncan and a daughter; Pamela Bernard of Duncan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Vancel was preceded in death by his son; Tim, his parents; Robert & Desi Harvey, and a brother Delbert Harvey.

Pallbearers will be Rob Harvey, Kenny Bernard, Jimmy Bernard, Jonthan Bernard, Derrick Bernard, Nathanael Bernard and John Morrow.
