Travis N. Payne 86, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital.

Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Duncan Cemetery with Rev. Matt Chambers officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Travis was born January 8, 1936 in Harrisburg, Oklahoma to Travis Noel & Martha (Earley) Payne, he joined the U.S. Army and retired in 1972 and was employed by the Duncan School system until his retirement. He was married to Mary Burks on May 26, 1959 in Duncan, Oklahoma and to this union were born two girls Renee' and Rhonda. Mary preceded Travis in death on May 22, 2021.

Travis is survived by his daughters; Renee' Willhite and Rhonda Willhite both od Duncan, Oklahoma, a brother; Daniel Payne of Duncan, Oklahoma and a sister; Clara Powell of Duncan, Oklahoma, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
