Shawna Martin, dedicated and loving wife and mother, laid down to rest and unfolded her wings on February 27, 2026.

Shawna was born to Michael and Rita Hitt on August 16, 1976, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. She was a true small-town girl with a heart more beautiful than the Oklahoma sunrise. She lived life to the fullest, making each day count.

She met and married Troy Martin, the man who would support her in ups and downs along with her sons Austin and Kyle. Soon, Harlie would come into the world and complete their family. She was devoted to her family and always kept things running, even when life could get overwhelming.

Shawna fought a long, hard battle with illness before she was swept into the clouds. She was a warrior and showed grace and bravery through it all with smiles and laughs, even on the hardest days.

She is survived by her husband, Troy; sons, Austin and Kyle Vorhees; and daughter, Harlie Martin. Shawna was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rita, and mother-in-law, Lorene Martin.

Her care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm, with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, with Celebrant Jamie Smart officiating.
