Sharon Barron

Sharon Barron 75 of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Duncan Regional Hospital.

Graveside Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. at the Duncan Cemetery with Dr. Brad Allen officiating, interment will be at the Duncan Cemetery and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Sharon was born December 12, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to James Ryan & Athaline "Smith" Edgar, Sharon was a resident of Duncan all her life and she attended Duncan School and graduated from Duncan High School, she had worked at Gibson's and retired from Halliburton Services, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Sharon is survived by her children, a  daughter; Louetta Jo Melendez of Los Osos, California and her son; Kevin Eugene Barron of Duncan, Oklahoma and a grandson; Ryan Melendez of Boston, Massachusetts, her mother; Athaline Edgar of Duncan, Oklahoma, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; James Edgar and a brother; James Patrick Edgar.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Melendez, Dan Mitchell, Joe Roberts, J.P. Edgar, Cam Edgar and Jerry Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Knoll and Kevin Barron.
