Samantha Ardala Howard

Samantha Ardala Howard 75, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Wilkins Nursing Center, with her family at her side.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Open Range Cowboy Church, at the Stephens County Fairgrounds with Rev. Richard Allen officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Samantha was born October 10, 1942 in Myers Creek, Arkansas to Austin & Katherine (Manning) Karr, she was a secretary at Henderson Bearing until her retirement, she loved sports, the Oklahoma City Thunder, OU Sooners and the Texas Rangers, and she especially loved Bills Catfish. She was called Mimi by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters; Debbie Justus and her husband Gregg of Bray, Oklahoma, Angela Ussery & her husband Dennis of Duncan, Oklahoma, Jerri Howard of Duncan, Oklahoma and Kristi Davis & her husband Matt of Duncan, Oklahoma, a son; Kenneth Johnson & his wife Angie of Edmond, Oklahoma, a sister; Diane Traylor and her husband Wayman of Choctaw, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Bryson & Rebekah Justus, Bubba & Mary Justus, Erick Johnson, Jamie Ussery, Colton Ussery, Mason Copeland, Shelbi Copeland and Alle Howard, great-grandchildren; Eli Justus, Heidi Justus, Izzy Justus, Jerrod Justus, Liam Justus, Caylyn Copeland and Cason Copeland and special friends David & Vonzell Barber & family.

Pallbearers will be Bryson Justus, Bubba Justus, Mason Copeland, Colton Ussery, Robbie Anderson and Tim Bates.
