Russel Sites, 63, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026 in Oklahoma City. He was no doubt welcomed into Heaven with open arms and joyful chorus.

Russel was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Harry and Peggy Sites on November 21, 1962.

After school, Russel went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad and worked for many years as a conductor. He was committed in life to his Lord and Savior and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Cement, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Peggy. Russel is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Sites; sisters, Laura Goldsmith and Tonya Williams; sons, Joshua Frazier and Jesse Sites; daughters, Jessica Smart, Taylor Sites, and Jordan Mejia; as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Russel’s care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. A come and go visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church Cement on Monday, July 27, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, also at the First Baptist Church Cement at 3:00 pm.
