Rhonda Gean Sheppeard Fullerton, 63, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly December 17, 2025. She was born April 28, 1962, at Lindley Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Leon and Dorothy (George) Sheppeard. Rhonda attended all 12 years and graduated from Empire School. She attended Nursing School and graduated from Red River Area Vo-Tech. She loved her patients and took special care with each of them. She worked in several nursing homes in the Alzheimer's units. She even set up and managed an Alzheimer's unit in Oklahoma City.

Recently, she was a dedicated volunteer at the Wig Room here in Duncan, and helped cancer patients find a wig, helping them with self-confidence and making them feel beautiful. Rhonda had a special way about her. She possessed a very caring, selfless, and loving heart. She loved her dogs and never turned any away. She also loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

Rhonda and David L. Fullerton were married in Duncan on September 23, 2012.

Rhonda loved reading her Bible and would witness to everyone she met. She could also often be found praying for those around her.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, David L. Fullerton, of the home; her father, Leon Sheppeard, of Duncan; her siblings, Dana Owens, of Duncan, Teresa Willcox and husband Harley of Log Cabin, Texas, and Tywana Ogle Guilbeaux of Duncan; her nephew, Jarrod Owens, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; children, David Austin and Mandy Lehr of Wellston, Oklahoma, Christopher Fullerton of Brunswick, Ohio, Jennifer Tamas of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kelly Fullerton, of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as 14 grandchildren aging from 3-24 years, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Sheppeard, her grandparents, and her father-in-law, David Fullerton.

Rhonda's care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Her service will be held in the chapel at Carter-Smart on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm with interment to follow immediately at Rock Creek Cemetery.
