It is with a great sadness that the family of Rhonda Sue Johnston announce her passing. Rhonda left us Monday, November 28, 2016 while in the care of Hospice at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma, arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Rhonda was born December 5, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Gray & Ruth Evelyn (Sweeney) Hunt. She graduated from Bridge City High School in 1963. She went on to attain a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's Degrees in Education and English. She taught high school at MacArthur High School in Lawton, Oklahoma from 1991 to 2008.

She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and daughter, caring for both of her parents until their deaths. She loved caring for animals, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a compassionate woman and a tireless educator who will be deeply missed.

Rhonda is survived by her daughter; Sarah Syrotchen of Ft. Worth, Texas and her two grandchildren, Raquel and David.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents; Robert & Ruth Hunt.
