Peter Jason Vanlandingham 85, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at his home.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Duncan Cemetery, with Rev. Dean & Freda Hall officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Peter was born January 5, 1937 in Merriana, Arkansas to Egbert & Jannette (Ives) Vanlandingham, he was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Arkla Gas Company until his retirement. He married Sonia Ruiz on March 29, 1974 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife; Sonia of the home, a son; James Vanlandingham of Thousand Oaks, California, daughters; Zina Vanlandingham of El Cajon, California, JoAnn Conway of Wylie, Texas and Victoria Wagadarikar of Los Gatos, California, brothers; H. David Beckham of Evanville, Indiana and Eddie Vanlandingham of Silver Springs, Maryland, and a sister; Faye M. Vanlandingham of Anglesey, Wales, and 5 grandchildren.

Military Honors will be provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard.
