Peggy Sue Johnston 89, of Raleigh, North Carolina a former Duncan resident, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Peggy father Buddy Johnston who was born in 1892, he served as a butler/letter carrier in France during WW 1. Her mother Nona Zelma Johnston was born in 1904 one of 8 sisters and 1 brother, her father Robert Gregston homesteaded in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Peggy was born July 21, 1933 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Buddy & Zelma (Gregston) Johnston, she attended Duncan Schools and was a graduate of Duncan High School, she attended Midwestern Univeristy and graduated with a associates degree. Peggy worked for Halliburton Services  and retired after 33 years. Peggy had moved to Raleigh, North Carolina 3 years ago to be near her nephew David Johnston.

Peggy is survived by her nephew David Johnston and several other family.
