Oddie Bell Burch passed away on September 7, 2026, in Holdenville, OK. She was 93 years old.

Oddie Bell Roberts Burch was born in Holdenville, OK on May 10, 1933. She graduated from Moss High School on her 16th birthday and attended two years of college at the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasaw, where she was on the basketball and softball teams.

She moved to Duncan in 1950, where she worked at the Optometric Extension Program. She met A.P. “Red” Burch and they were married on January 30, 1954, in Lawton. Oddie worked for many years at the OEP and then at the Halliburton Research Center. She retired in 1994. She was beloved by her coworkers and was known for bringing cakes and pies to work every Friday.

Oddie loved to cook and enjoyed making dinner for family and friends every night, even when working full time. She loved bluegrass and country music and spent many summers attending bluegrass festivals with the family. She was a life-long sports fan and loved rooting for OU and the Dallas Cowboys. She especially loved basketball and liked to watch women’s college and professional teams and was the biggest fan of the OKC Thunder.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.D. and Lillian Roberts, her brothers A.J. and George, and daughter Presley Ann. She is survived by her daughters Traci and Noelle, son-in-law Glenn Overstreet, and brother Kenneth.

Her care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow immediately at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Reverend Jeannie McMahan will officiate.
