Mary Ellen Green

Mary Ellen Green, 90 of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mary was born on November 30, 1927 to William Patrick & Neta Ethel Gollihugh in Amarillo, Texas. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church. She also believed in hard work and staying busy as long as she was able to. She worked at the Duncan Care Center until the age of 82. She also spent time volunteering at the Mission House and enjoyed the fellowship with the other volunteers.

Mary is survived by her son; Clifford Patrick Green of Duncan, Oklahoma, grandchildren Christie Green of Odessa, Texas, Michael Byram and wife Anita of Odessa, Texas, Dee Dee Morris and husband John of Okeechobee, Florida, Toni Moody and her husband Milton of Haslet, Texas, Patti Cruse and husband Doug of Pueblo, Colorado, Travis Green of Gotebo, Oklahoma, Jannette Candelaria and her husband Josh of Gotebo, Oklahoma, and numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; William Patrick & Neta Ethel Gollihugh, husband; Ralph Green, her sister; Vivian and brothers; Billy Wayne, Loyel, Doyel and Dewey and her son David Green.

Graveside services will be at the Marlow Cemetery on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David Morrow officiating, and arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Byram, Travis Green, Milton Moody, Doug Cruce, Josh Candelaria and Jimmy Akers.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Mary's church family at Faith Church, the caring staff at Duncan Home Care and Meals On Wheels for loving and helping her in so many ways.
