Mary Helen Bishop

Mary Helen Bishop 83, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2017 at Country Club Care Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Aubrey Ritter officiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Mary was born May 27, 1934 to Eddie & Viola (Haston) Cooper in Marlow, Oklahoma, she was a member of the Baptist Church and the Fireman's Auxiliary and she had been a resident of the Duncan and Marlow area all her life, she worked at Duncan Regional Hospital for 15 years, she was the dietitian for the hospital cafeteria. Mary married Thomas Eugene Bishop January 21, 1951 in Duncan and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters; Donna King ~ Craig Weathers of Lawton, Oklahoma, Brenda & Tommy Young of Duncan and Paula Benton of Duncan, a sister; Shirley Davidson of Sherman, Texas, grandchildren; Tracie Romeo, Shawn King, Terri Bailey, Jeremy Young, Kayla Jung and Gabby Baker, 15 great-grandchildren and she was preceded in death by a grandson and a great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Shawn King, Jason Weathers, Jacob Weathers and Dakota Jung.
