Maria "Sukie" Duran

Maria "Sukie" Duran 84, of El Paso, Texas, passed away December 16, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rigoberto Varela officiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Maria was born To Rafael & Maria Del Pillar Moreno on November 1, 1939. She was married to Ursulo "Chilo" Duran Sr. for 60 years.

Mrs. Duran is survived by her children; Chilo Jr., Donna, Fito, David and Rafael. Her siblings; Rafael Jr. Alicia, Lionel, Irma, Yoly and Gonzalo Sr., two daughters-in-law's; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Duran was preceded in death by her husband; Ursulo "Chilo" Duran Sr., a son; Sammy, sisters; Soledad, Niko and a brother; Antonio Moreno.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Bibi, Andy, Fabian, Tony Boy, Hugo, David Jr, Adrian, Ezra. Honorary pallbearers will be her daughter Donna Telles, and son's; Chilo Jr., Fito, David Sr., and Rafael Duran.
