Lou Ann Williams of Duncan passed away May 3rd, in Altus Oklahoma at the age of 83. She was born on January 18, 1941 in Sayre Oklahoma to Hollis and Monte Williams. Graveside rights will be Monday, May 20, at 10:00 am at Resthaven Cemetary in Duncan Oklahoma with Kathy Gibson officiating.

Lou Ann moved to Duncan as a small child with her parents and sister Elaine, when her dad came to work at Sunray Refinery. The family had lived in Borger, Texas where Hollis worked in the refinery.

Lou Ann graduated from Duncan High School in 1959. She enjoyed weekly dances with her friends in their living room and going to the movies with her friends on Saturday.

Lou Ann lived and worked in Dallas her entire working years. She retired and moved back to Duncan in 2002 to be close to her mother.  Her sister moved to Duncan after retirement and lived in the house next to Lou Ann. They had several years of catching up and going out to eat. Lou Ann cherished this time and missed her sister after her death.

Lou Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church of Duncan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Benjamin and Ellen Oliver and James and Nellie Williams and her sister Elaine Berlejung.

She is survived by one nephew David Adair of Duncan. Two aunts, Jacqueline Lewis of Altus Oklahoma and NaDean Williams of Norman Oklahoma. Several cousins who loved her dearly and many friends and classmates.

She will be missed.
