Lois Ann Schornick

Lois Ann Schornick, 81, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Country Club Care.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McConnell officiating.Interment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Lois was born November 19, 1939 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Coral G. & Cleo (Calahoun) Brown Sr., the second of eight children. Lois married Joe Schornick Sr. on June 7, 1956 in Duncan, Oklahoma. She faithfully served the Lord as a longtime member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Lois is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws; Joe Jr. & Lou Ann Schornick of Pearland, Texas, Ronnie & Jackie Schornick of Allen, Texas and Gary & Beth Schornick of The Colony, Texas, 7 grandchildren; Jaclyn Taylor, Joanne Whitley, Alyson Schornick, Marie Schornick, Jake Schornick, Kyle Schornick, and Luke Schornick,10 great-grandchildren, brothers; Jerry & Paula Brown of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Larry & Rhonda Brown of Kansas City, Missouri and sister; Dorothy McCord of Duncan, Oklahoma and other friends and relatives.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; Coral & Cleo Brown Sr.; a daughter, Connie Schornick; brother; Coral Brown Jr.; and sisters, Ruth Kitchens, Betty Murray, and Laneva Kendall.
