Linda June Rather-Garrison, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July4, 2024 at Wilkins Nursing Center at the age of 73 years and 27 days.

Services will be 2:00 Monday, July 15, 2024 at Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean & Freda Hall officiating, interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Linda was born June 7, 1951 to Sam & Jessie (Bennett) Rather at the Lindley Hospital in Duncan, Oklahoma, Linda graduated from Comanche High School and she was a homemaker and she married Richardson Garrison in 1975, and to this union two children were born, Russell and Amanda, Richard preceded her in death in 2010.

Survivors include her son; Russell Garrison and a daughter Amanda McCarley, a brother; Wayne Rather of Duncan, Oklahoma, and two sisters; Anita Clippinger of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Frances Newton of Clinton, Oklahoma and 4 grandchildren.
