Obituary

Linda Sue Mayberry was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2026. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones as she passed.

Born to Ernest and Louella Wilkinson on February 8, 1951, Linda was the only girl in a family of 7 children. She grew up working just as hard as her brothers and was as tough as they come.

Linda Sue met Billy D Mayberry, and they married on December 26, 1968, recently celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary. Together, they would raise two daughters and a son.

She was dedicated to her family and loved to get them all together. They would play volleyball in the yard, enjoy barbecue dinners, and have the occasional poker night. Her love was the glue that held everything in place. Gatherings grew larger and the glue grew stronger as her children married, and she was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Linda was a faithful woman who loved her Bible. She was grateful to God for the many blessings that had been bestowed upon her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Louella Wilkinson, and 5 brothers: Carlton Everett, Elmer Leroy, Ernest Marvin, Melvin Troy, and Ray Merle Wilkinson. She is survived by her husband, Billy D Mayberry, of the home; her children, Barbara Parker and husband Kyle, Susan Kunselman and husband Brian, and Billy A Mayberry and wife Kristin; her brother, Hubert Wilkinson; her aunt, Wanda Nelson; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Parker, Dylan Mayberry, Colton Kunselman, Max DeHaven, Billy A Mayberry, and Brian Kunselman.

Her care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 6-8 pm at Carter-Smart Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at Duncan Municipal Cemetery on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Minister Mario Pineda presiding.
