Lance Earl Clark, lifetime resident of the Duncan Area, was born in Cruce, Oklahoma, on February 10, 1927 to Nelson E. Clark and Grace (Greenwood) Clark. Lance started school at Payne, Cruce, Oklahoma, he went to school at Bethel, west of Duncan, Oklahoma, Woolsey, and graduated from Loco High School in 1945.

He entered the U.S. Navy in March 1945 and was Honorable Discharge in August of 1946. He went to Cameron College in 1946 and graduated in 1948, and went to work at Halliburton's in June 1948 in the accounting department and retired after 39 years and ran cattle for 40 years and retired from the cattle business in 2000. He married Javeta Anne Giddens on August 11, 1951 and later adopted Craig in 1959, Craig passed away in 1998, Javeta (Dude) Clark passed away in January 2008, and later married Margie Fields in 2015. Lance was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge since the age of 21.

Survivors include his sister; Ila Taylor, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoman, nephew; Harold (Chip) Krueger & his wife Daisy, 2 nieces; Kathy Brady, Cindy Quinlivan & husband Mark, and Margie Field, friend/companion and Caretaker for many years.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating, interment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be David Hunt, Royce Clark, Bobby Ramirez, Chip Krueger, Jarred McCuistion, and Larry Simms. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Biddy
