Obituary

Justin Dale Goldsberry, 34, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on May 13, 2026, in Duncan.

Justin was born on August 7, 1991, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Shannon Dale Jones and Caroline Goldsberry. He spent his life in Duncan and was known for his kind and caring heart, his love of sports, and his deep love for family and friends.

Justin accepted Christ and was baptized at City Heights Baptist Church in Duncan in 2001. He attended Empire High School and graduated with the Class of 2010. During high school, he especially loved sports and proudly played football, basketball, and baseball, earning his letters and proudly wearing his letterman’s jacket. Baseball was always his favorite sport, and he loved the Texas Rangers as well as the Dallas Cowboys football team.

Those who knew Justin will remember his love for his family, his caring nature, and the joy he brought to the people around him.

Justin is survived by his parents, Shannon Dale Jones and Caroline Goldsberry; his grandparents, Robert and Shernell Jones; his two sons, Jackson and Timothy; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Jones Jr., Gary Skidmore, Samuel Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Lynn Snow, and Joe Price.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. The service will be a celebration of Justin’s life and the memories shared with those who loved him.
