Goodrich W. "Sonny" Lyon 75, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at his home in Duncan.

Graveside funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the New Velma Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Sonny was born September 15, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Goodrich W. Lyon Sr. and Lula Thelma (Richardson) Lyon, he worked in oilfield sales, Sonny was married to Aline Adams on November 5, 1982 in Velma, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2018.

Sonny is survived by daughters; Candace Womack & her husband Rusty of Comanche, Oklahoma, Nicole Self & her husband Rob of Wellington, Texas and Dawn Sowinski of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a sister; Lois Conner of Topeka, Kansas and 4 grandchildren; James & Carmon Womack, Kevin Womack, Andrew & Nicholas Self and 2 great grandchildren; Alex Womack and Julieann Womack.

Sonny was preceded in death by his wife; Aline, parents; Goodrich W. & Lula Thelma Lyon and a brother; Bud Lyon
