Dorothy L. David, 88, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Elk Crossing Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the First Baptist Church Duncan with Dr. Brian Pain officiating, and inturnment will follow at the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangments have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Family visitation will be Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Dorothy was born on Wednesday, May 31, 1933 to Ralph & Faye (Kennedy) Coffman, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and a volunteer at Christian Concerned and worked for Woolworth's for 33 years. Dorothy married Bill David November 12, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death October 21, 2010.

She is survived by a son-in-law; Dale Hurst of Comanche, Oklahoma, a brother; Virgil Coffman of Duncan, Oklahoma and a sister; Wanda Morris & her husband Joe of Duncan, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; Bill, parents; Ralph & Faye Coffman, a son; Allan, and daughters; Pat Mayes and and Denise Hurst.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hurst, Gary David, Robert Henson, Ashton Dunegan, Terry Morris, Danny Kyle. Honorary Pallbearer is Steve Morris.
