David Eric Hays, age 62, of Duncan, OK, died at home on August 22, 2025. He is survived by his wife Linda Hays (Votaw), of the home and sister-in-law, Jackie Votaw, of the home; his four children; son Chris Brown and wife Adeena, son Mike Brown and wife Tyra, daughter Sharon Wilson and husband Jay, and son Jason Evans and wife Ciara. He is also survived by four siblings; brothers Terry Hays and Russel Hays, and sisters Chrystal Giuenmentaro and Mellany Roach; as well as 22 grandkids, 9 great-grandkids, many nieces and nephews, and his church family from Hilltop Church of God.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Herman Hays (Whiz) and Joy Hays, and 2 nieces Stephanie Standridge and Jordanne Standridge.

His care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at the Hilltop Church of God on September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
