Obituary

It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of our sweet Mama, Dana Boyles, on a beautiful spring-like day on February 27, 2025. Dana Louise was born on August 26, 1954 to Willis Kendall & Helen "Underwood" Skelton in Duncan, Oklahoma. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1972. She married Rick Boyles on August 28, 1980 and were married 44 years, and to this union they had two daughter; Erin Leigh & Mallory Kate.

Dana worked at several places but finally found her calling at the Duncan Banner. She worked her way from classifieds to retiring as the Advertising Director. Dana's favorite pastime growing up was rodeo, she could be found on any giving weekend in the 60's & 70's running barrels and poles at her family rodeo arena. Many who attended rodeos at the Skelton Arena still refer to Dana & Kenna as the "Skelton Girls". Dana's later life was spent enjoying her daughter's and grandkid's events, cooking, camping, a love for fishing, going to estate/garage sales, and a good game of Hand & Foot and Skipbo.

Dana survived by daughters; Erin & James Norton and Mallory & Scooter Geiger. Her beloved grandchildren; Alec & Carlee Norton, Hagan & Slaten Geiger and a great niece; Briley Jo Norton. Her sister/best friend; Kenna & Ken Foss and her baby brother; Kenny & Joyce Skelton.
