Cheryl J. Sims passed into the welcoming arms of our Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in Duncan, OK.

Cherly was born to Earl and Lorene (Steinman) Campbell on February 19,1950, in Muskogee, OK. After graduating from Duncan High School in 1968, she worked for many years as a legal secretary and resided in Moore, Perkins, and Checotah. After her retirement, she moved back to Duncan.

She married Terry Sims on January 26, 2008 in Duncan. Cheryl was a member of the Ladies of '68 and volunteered with the Duncan Regional Hospital Auxiliary from January 2014 to July 2023, dedicating 1465 hours to the program.

Cheryl was predeceased by her husband, Terry Sims, her brother, Paul Campbell, and her grandson, Devyn Parrish. Survivors include her son Jeffrey Wells and wife Nicole, of Brick, NJ; her daughter Lori Wells and fiance Jimmy Halbrooks, of Lawton, OK; grandchildren Abygail, Luis, Juliana, and Jaxon Wells and Sara Bender; and great grandchildren Judas and Emmitt Morris.

Cheryl's care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Home and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cheryl's name to the Stephens County Humane Society. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
