Charles Allen Wooten 89, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Hall officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Charles was born February 25, 1932 in Hastings, Oklahoma to Sammy Sullivan & Leona Valentine ( Foster) Wooten, he worked for Halliburton's in the Heat Treat Department until his retirement in 1986, he loved the outdoors, loved golfing, gardening and working at his farm and traveling after he retired, Charles married Bertie on January 8, 1983 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Charles is survived by his wife; Bertie of the home, sons; Allen Wooten & his wife Sue of Comanche, Oklahoma, Bobby Wooten of Comanche, Oklahoma, Paul Mendenall & his wife Tammy of Duncan, Oklahoma, Alan Mendenall & his wife Dena of Ardmore, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Sammy & Leona Wooten, his brother; Glen Wooten of Duncan, and his sister; Melba Lois Wooten Darity of Velma, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Kris Hinsley, Brandon Mendenall, Jacob Wilson, Gaylon Blankenship, Billy Bandy and Allen Wooten. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Darity, James Wooten and Matt Mendenall.
