Betty R. Wilson 88 of Bastrop, TX passed away Friday, March 14, 2025.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Duncan Cemetery with Keith Walls officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral home where family & friend's visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Betty was born in Nocona, TX on July 28, 1936 to Arthur and Leona Walls. She married Don Wilson in 1956, making their home in Duncan, OK.  They had two children, Mark and Paula. Betty lived most of her life, 1947 to 2018 in Duncan, making many friends and being an active part of the community. Betty worked for Halliburton Services for 22 years in Export/International.

Betty loved Oklahoma State football, playing bridge, water aerobics and traveling with friends. Many in Duncan remember her for being their volunteer basketball and track coach. She was active in Sunday school, Bible school and the puppet ministry at church. She loved playing and teaching bridge and volunteering at the hospital.

Betty is survived by her children, Mark and Darla Wilson of Duncan, OK and Paula and Ron Walton of Cedar Creek, TX. Three Grandchildren, Cassie Walton of Houston, TX, Katie and Stephen Jones with two great-grand children, Luke and Hannah Jones of Buda, TX, Shawna and Chris Pallitto with children Holly and Owen of Rosenberg, TX and Madison Wilson of Lubbock, TX.

Betty was proceeded in death by her husband Don in 2000.

Betty, or Mimi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will always be remembered for her strength, quick wit, dedication to God and love for family and friends.
