Bertie L. Wooten, 92, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Ashbrook Village in Duncan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Shawn Kirk officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Bertie was born June 6, 1930 in Sands Springs, Oklahoma to Lewis F. & Rosie (Appleton) Perrigo, she was a social worker for the Department of Human Services until her retirement, she was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and the Garden Club of Duncan, she was the mother of  sons; Paul, Alan Mendenall and Allen Wooten. She married Charles Wooten on June 8, 1983 in Wichita Falls, Texas and Charles preceded her in death July 30, 2021.

Survivors include sons; Paul Mendenall & his wife Tammy of Duncan, Oklahoma, Alan Mendenall & his wife Deana of Ardmore, Oklahoma and 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Charles Wooten, parents; Lewis F. & Rosie Perrigo, and a stepson; Allen Wooten.

Pallbearers will be Matt Mendenall, Brandon Mendenall, Jacob Wilson, Chris Mendenall, Paul Mendenall and Alan Mendenall.
