Alton Ray Standridge, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on December 16, 1954, and leaves behind a legacy of love, family, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Alton was a devoted father to his three children: Bobby and wife Amanda Standridge, Kelli and husband Derek Boseman, and Jason and wife Lesly Standridge. His greatest joy was his family, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren: Tanner and wife Justice, Jaiden, Alix, Teeghan and husband Kanyon, Kaleb, Andi and Jeffrey. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Tate, who brought an extra special joy to his life.

Alton is survived by his siblings, Sherry and husband Tom, Billy and wife Shari, Shelley and husband Dewayne, Maryann, Dorothy and husband Chris, and JR and wife Sandra. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Those who knew Alton knew that he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Win or lose, he remained loyal to his team and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. His passion for the Cowboys was just one of the many things that made him uniquely Alton.

Alton's greatest legacy will not be measured in things, but in the people he loved and the memories he created. His family will forever carry his love with them and remember the laughter, stories, and moments they shared.

Though he is no longer with us, Alton will never be forgotten. He will remain forever in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, siblings, extended family, and friends.

Rest peacefully, Alton. May your next game always be a Cowboys victory. You will be deeply loved and forever missed.

Pallbearers for Alton will be Tanner Boseman, Kaleb Thacker, Jeffrey Standridge, Kanyon Culver, Chase Kraus, and Jenson Nunez. Honorary pallbearer will be Clayton Kraus.

Alton’s care has been entrusted to Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. Services will be held at graveside at Duncan Municipal Cemetery on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 am.
