     Wanda Lee Goodrich 86, of Duncan, Oklahoma, went to be with her heavenly family Friday, June 23, 2017. 

     Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. at Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating, interment will follow at Letitia Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening form 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart funeral Home.

     Wanda was born to Willie & Etta Mae (Keck) January 3, 1931 in Elgin, Oklahoma. She was raised in Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School at the age of 16. She helped to decide what Elgin's mascot would be and it is still called Elgin Owls. Wanda moved to Duncan, and worked at the old Good Luck Café downtown and enjoyed it very much. Her mom and sister worked there as well. Wanda married Thomas L. Rogers in 1951. They had 2 children, Carolyne and Kenneth Rogers. Wanda then worked for Haggar Slacks in Temple then moved to the one in Duncan where she would retire at 26 years of duty. She divorced in 1985 and then in 1987 her knight in shining armor met her while vacationing in Arizona. This would be Ralph Goodrich, they had a wonderful 15 years together and he was called home in 2002.

     Wanda loved having huge gardens and canned everything she could, she loved fishing and camping and she and Ralph traveled doing this. Wanda had many losses in her long life. Her sister Helen White passed her father Willie Daves Williams, a granddaughter Cassie McPhereson , her mother Ettie Mae Williams, sister Rosa Lee Bingham, her son; Kenneth D. Rogers and a daughter; Carolyne Lee, sister-in-law Shirley Swanson. Wanda also managed to create a big family who will love and miss her greatly. Wanda and Ralph were members of Trinity Baptist Church in Duncan.          

     Wanda has left behind lots of loved ones; Paula Rogers of the home, Paula's friend Thomas Gambrel, and son James Gambrel all of Duncan. Ron and wife Duffie Goodrich, Mary and Husband Gregg Brunning, Patricia and husband Marty Riedlers all of Nebraska. Grandchildren; Jimmy and wife Christy McPhereson of Tipton, Oklahoma, Shawn and wife Candice McPhereson of Elk City, Oklahoma, Helen and husband Jon French of Colorado, Misty and husband Jason Bear of Duncan, T.J. and wife Dasha Rogers of Comanche, Aaron Goodrich of Nebraska, Tricia and husband Scott Dethef of Nebraska, Ricky and husband Jason Hayek of Nebraska, Mathew Brunning of Nebraska, Nick Riedler of Nebraska, Andrea and husband Phil McGargil of Chicago. Great grandchildren Rebbeca, Austin, Kara, Emma, Addison, Joshua, Jared, Chloe, Alexa, Greg, Natasha, Tyler, Caleb, Kenda, Blaize, Saree, Anniston, Lexi, William, Zachary, Rohanan, Dayna, Ethan, Miles, Emily, Grant and Aubrey. Great-Great Grandchildren; Jaylynn, S'Mara and Mason. Nephews; Edward Bingham, Dennie Bingham and Rick Swason and many many more whish we could name them all.

     Pallbearers will be Jimmy McPhereson, Shawn McPhereson, Thomas Rogers, Tyler Bear, Caleb Bear and Austin McPhereson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Winters, Joshua Ybarra, Blaize Rogers, Mathew Brunning, Nick Riedler and Aaron Goodrich.

     In lieu of Flowers memorial may be sent to Letitia Cemetery Fund at 1907 S.E. 210 Lawton, Oklahoma 73501.
