Stella Duckworth Obituary

Stella Duckworth

Stella Fay (Foster) Duckworth ended her 8 year battle with bone cancer. She left her earthly body to be fully with the Lord Jesus Christ Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.. She passed from this world while in her own bed surrounded by her two sons, only daughter-in-law, four special nieces , and a very special life long friend.

She was born to Lee and Roma Foster on October 8, 1939 in Alma, Oklahoma. Stella owned and operated "Stella's 81 Club' for over 20 years. After retiring she re-dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus and lived out the remainder of her life living for, and serving our Lord.

In the late 90's and the early 2000's her prayers, and efforts where to see her oldest son be released from prison and begin his ministry. She not only had that prayer answered but she was a part of The Steps of Christ Recovery Group and was part of birthing The Recovery Church which her son and daughter-in-law pastor. She also got to be a big part of his marriage to her first daughter-in-law Debbie Hall.

The other prayer God answered was that she spend the remainder of her life with her youngest son Wayne Hall. Wayne spent the last two years by her side caring for her night and day up until her final 6 months in which he received help from 6 special nieces, son and daughter-in-law, and 2 special friends who all gave so much of their time sitting with her.

Stella loved to go to garage sells with her friend Jimmie and flipping houses, seems she was always redoing another house. She always had an answer for all her family's problems whether they were right of wrong. She loved her family, and after all her brothers and sisters passed, other than her sons and daughter-in-law, her nieces and friends where her joy. Her sons and daughter-in-law have a dream for the next Recovery Church Home to be called "Stella's House" for women re-integrating back into society. She just beamed at the thought of this, she was so excited to keep her spirit alive.

Stella is survived by her two sons; and a daughter-in-law; Wayne Hall of Duncan, Oklahoma, Dennis Hall  and his wife Debbie of Duncan, Oklahoma, many special nieces and nephews from all over the country and two special friends; Clyde Graham who visited her daily, and her very special life long friend Jimmie Turley who was with her daily, many times all night, and was by her side when she left this world to enter into a better one.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lee & Roma Foster, two husbands; James A. Hall and Raymond Duckworth, all her brothers and sisters; Oma Lee Willett, Tommie Smith, Katie Cypert, Leondar Foster, Kenneth Ray Foster, and Donald Foster. She will be greatly missed but we are so grateful she is suffering no longer.
