     Nellie Mae Stevenson 80, of Duncan, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at her home with her family at her side.

     Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Ray of Hope Church with Pastor Mike McCord and Rev.Willie Irvin officiating and Elder Farron (Wayne) Perry assisting, interment will follow at Henderson-Harris Cemetery and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     Visitation will begin Friday afternoon from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.

     Nellie was born November 20, 1936 to Bill & Eliza (Plummer) Buckner in Elmore City, Oklahoma, she was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church and St. Stephens Mission Circle, also she was a member of Douglass Eastside Senior Citizen Center and also served as a board member, she worked for the Duncan School System at Lee Elementary School, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Nellie married T. W. Stevenson August 7, 1954 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

     Survivors include her husband; T.W. Stevenson of the home, daughters; Carlos Stevenson Ivory of Duncan, Oklahoma, Rhonda Stevenson of Edmond, Oklahoma and Sheila Stevenson of Langston, Oklahoma, sisters; Maulsie Caldwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmie McEwen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Geneva Milton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Chanell Ivory, Derrick Ivory, Lavender Stevenson, Joshua Stevenson and Eliza Brieahn Stevenson, great grandchildren; Savaughn Cooper, Savian Cooper, Angel Behn, Selah Ivory and Cayson Tell.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; Bill Buckner in & Eliza Buckner in, a baby girl Stevenson in her brother; Bill Buckner Jr. in and a sister; Arnetta Marie Drain in.

     Pallbearers will be William Alan Drain, Sim Drain lll, Finas Perry, Trayveah Osborne, Frontes McEwen and Berley Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Ivory, Savaughn Cooper, Savian Cooper, Cayson Tell, Travis Talton and Johnny Turner.

     Flowers bearers will be Mautra Jones, Disa McEwen, Andrea Langston, Renae Burke and Demetre Watts. Honorary flower bearers will be St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Mission Group.  

     Memorial contributions may be made to BancFirst  to  T.W. Stevenson/ Memorial Fund or Carlos Ivory Memorial Fund.
