Gloria Gale Rascoe 75, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at her home in Duncan.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Pitts officiating and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

Gloria was born on Christmas Eve on December 24, 1943 to Homer Lee and Ilona (McAllister) Rascoe. She made Duncan her home in Duncan in 1980. She worked several jobs over the years including working at City Hall making many lifelong friends. When her health declined she moved in with her granddaughter, Jada Gibson.

Gloria's favorite pastimes were reading. listening to music, watching game shows and playing with her great-granchildren, Lexi, Avaree and Jeremy Noah. She loved Dr. Pepper and always had chocolate nearby. Gloria was the best mom, grandma and Wawa to her family.

Survivors include her son; Garry Lee Welsh & his wife Janet of Lumberton, N.C., daughters; Lillian Maree Hesbrook George & husband David of Duncan, Oklahoma and Michelle Mize of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother; Homer Lee Rascoe and & wife Charlotte of Warner Robins, Ga., sisters; Lynn Uyenayama & husband Glen of Long Branch, Washington, Carolyn Settle of Lexington, Ky. and Jada Masten & husband Don of Grandbury, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Roger Rascoe.

The family will be wearing purple, her favorite color in honor of her.
