Elizabeth Ruth Alexander

     Elizabeth R. Alexander 96, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at her home with her family at her side.

     Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home with Ron Mulkey officiating, interment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     Elizabeth was born October 8, 1921 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Samuel and Ada Mae (Freeman) Hickman, Elizabeth married to Luther Alexander April 19, 1943 in Comanche, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in 2004, to this union was born 3 daughters; Nancy Ruth, Cynthia Kay and Linda Gail and 2 sons; Ruben Talmadge and Thomas Edward, she was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

     Survivors include two sons; Ruben Talmage Alexander and his wife Marcy of Duncan, Oklahoma and Thomas Edward Alexander and his wife Diana of Missouri, daughters; Nancy Ruth Lane and her husband Gerald of Duncan, Oklahoma, Linda Gail Hall and her husband Tom of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Cynthia Kay Caron. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law; Gene Caron.

     Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Luther and her daughter Cynthia Caron. 

     Pallbearers will be Luke Lane, Chris Couch, Paul Caron, Raymond Aviles, Tanner Hughes, Dusty Jackson and Tyler O'Banion.
