Clyde Oliver Womack Jr.

     Clyde Oliver Womack Jr. 76 of Velma, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his home in Velma.

     Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Taylor officiating, interment will follow at Fairlawn cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     Clyde was born April 10, 1941 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Clyde O. Sr. & Lois F. (Pendergraft) Womack, he received his doctorate in Ministerial Studies and was a retired minister, he was also a former council member for the town of Velma and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Duncan. Mr. Womack married Willie (Bailey) May 25, 1963 in Wichita Falls, Texas and they had three sons Terry Claude, Jerry Clyde and James Paul.

     Survivors include his wife; Willie of the home in Velma, sons; Terry Claude Womack & his wife Bambi of Calumet, Oklahoma, Jerry Clyde Womack & his wife Dana of Velma, Oklahoma, and James Paul Womack & his wife Joanna of Piedmont, Oklahoma, a brother; John Paul Womack of Altus, Oklahoma, and a sister; Pat Sosebee of Wichita Falls, Texas and 7 grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; Clyde O. & Lois Womack, and sister; Sandra Jean  Boone 

     Pallbearers will be Ken Hinson, Brandon Harwell, Robert Scott, Michael Hendrix, Kory Bollinger, Scott Bollinger, Paul King and Tim Finnigan. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Womack, Brooke Womack, Nathan Womack,Isaac Womack. 

     In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be sent to Bible Baptist Church in Clyde Womack Jr's. name.
