Claudia Ann (Wininger) Durant

     Claudia Ann Durant, 66 of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday. September 7, 2019 at Wilkins Nursing Center, with her family near her side.

     Graveside funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Duncan Cemetery with Dr. Bryan Pain officiating, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 5:30-6:60 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.  

     Ann was born March 6, 1966 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Weldon & Foy Wininger , she was a graduated of Duncan High School, graduating in 1971 and attended Cameron University, Anne worked many years for Dr. John Young, the Texas Juvenile Prison System and Pre-Paid Legal.

     Anne was a member of the First Baptist Church. Anne was a T.V. history buff and a lover of rescue dogs, of which she owned four.

     Survivors include her spouse John Ware of the home, daughter; Crystal Anne Durant of Burkburnett, Texas, grandson; Gunnar Bilyeu of Texas, and brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Patty Wininger of Duncan, Oklahoma, and a niece Emily Wininger Callahan of Memphis, Tennessee.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Aaron Wayne Bethany, grandparents; Claude and Lucille Wininger, and Otis and Stella Bernard.
