Wilma Jean Christian

     Wilma Jean Christian born May 31, 1934 to Noah & Myrtle Hightower in Lindsey, Oklahoma, and  left this life on March 27, 2018 at her home in Duncan surrounded by her family & friends. She has now gained her reward and has reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 57 years Ray Christian. They were married on February 7, 1954 and lived a life of ministry. She was a member of the Pecan Street Church of God and was a Adult Sunday School Teacher.

     The Homecoming celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Glory Bound Church in Marlow, Oklahoma, with Rev. Matt Bernard and her son's, officiating, interment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.

     The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

     Survivors include her son's; Wayne Christian & his wife Kathy of Marlow, Oklahoma, Ray Christian of the home, daughters; Pam Mize of Duncan, Oklahoma, Becky Solomon & her husband Tony of Duncan, Oklahoma, Naomi Grigg & her husband Larry of Duncan, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren & 3 great -great grandchildren. One sister; Patsy Spearman of Sercy, Arkansas, and a sister-in-law Peggy June Smith of Kansas City, Missouri, and numerous nieces & nephews and many other family members and a host of friends.

     Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Ray of 57 years, a daughter; Kathy Carter, granddaughter; Misty Carter, her parents; Noah & Myrtle Hightower  and a brother Jay and 2 sisters; Peggy & Jimmie.     

     Pallbearers will be Tim Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Tony Reynolds, Travis Christian, Nathan Nedd and Mike Boettger. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Carter, Jim Barton, David Bernard, Jake Bernard, Melvin Anderson, Rev. Wayne Morrow, Rev. David Morrow and Anthony Lauderdale. 

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pecan St. Church of God at 1402 Pecan Duncan, Oklahoma 73533 c/o Matt & Lisa Bernard.
